An Interpretation of the Catcher in the Rye from Bildungsroman Perspective

In the “modern classic” novel The Catcher in Rye, Salinger captures spirit of a generation. Through analysis Holden, hero, from helplessness adolescence to gradual stepping on road growth full thorns and mists, we can understand psychological course formation teenagers’ thoughts personality changes postwar American society, spiritual crisis behind their highly-developed material civilization.
